Hello and welcome!
I’m Sara – an illustrator and educator living by the sea in the North East of England.
My work is rooted in observation, storytelling, and a love for capturing everyday life. Whether I’m sketching on location or working in the studio, I’m inspired by people, places, and the natural world around me.
I’ve illustrated for children’s publishers, research teams, editorial projects, packaging, and public art initiatives, with clients including Walker Books, Ransom Publishing, Nexus, Asda & Full Circle Brewery, North Chocolates, Mumsnet, The International Centre for Life, Durham Book Festival, The National Youth Association and Teesside and Northumbria universities.
Alongside my illustration work, I teach at the University of Sunderland and regularly lead workshops with schools, charities, and community groups—using creativity and design to make ideas accessible and engaging for everyone.
